Parks over the Air (POTA)
Parks on the Air (POTA) is a ham radio activity where operators set up portable stations in national and state parks to make radio contacts, promoting emergency awareness and communication. Participants can enjoy the outdoors while honing their skills and connecting with other ham radio enthusiasts, often calling "CQ POTA" to invite contacts. POTA encourages outdoor engagement and enhances amateur radio operations.
