The North East Louisiana Amateur Radio Club is an ARRL Affiliated general interest amateur radio club. Our members enjoy many facets of amateur radio including digital modes, public service and emergency communications, contesting, QRP operating, antenna building, kit building, DXing, contesting, and mentoring other hams.
We welcome everyone interested in amateur radio, regardless of current license or ARRL membership status.
NELARC also publishes a monthly club newsletter, offers entry-level license classes, offers General or Extra license classes, sponsors an annual ham fest, participates in Field Day and other on-the-air events, and offers license testing regularly.
The club call sign is W5EA. For more than 50 years, Mr. Leo Brians was an active amateur in our area, and it is to his memory that we hold his former call sign.
